The Road Less Traveled

May 4, 2017 Bronson Chadwick

Many of the phone calls we receive at the PCR office start go like this: “Can you send a court reporter and videographer to uhhh… what was the name of that town…”

The answer is almost always “Yes, we are happy to help you there."

West Texas, while it may look empty from the first glance on Google Maps, is packed full of cities and towns both big and small. Unlike metropolitan areas like Houston or Dallas we drive long hours to reach destinations within our “region.”

As a rule of thumb, we can usually accommodate any request within two-hundred miles of Midland, Texas (79701). If you are looking for a court reporter in Fort Stockton, Texas you would do well to bring in one of our expert reporters from the Midland/Odessa area.

There are many small towns that are harder to reach by many court reporters, videographers and attorneys but we pride ourselves on being able to reach out to towns such as Monahans, Pecos and Snyder.

Furthermore, if you are looking to depose a witness in New Mexico you don’t necessarily have to have a court reporter from New Mexico. We are certified to provide our services to clients just over our border in Carlsbad, Hobbs and Jal, New Mexico. We cover virtually any location across the Permian Basin and West Texas region as well as southeastern New Mexico via our affiliate company.

In a typical week, it is common to see one of our court reporters or video professionals traveling to Lubbock or Amarillo, Texas in the panhandle region as well as closer-by towns such as Stanton, Seminole, Lamesa and Big Spring

.

“What are the most unique places you’ve seen?”

There are three towns that come to mind. The first is Kermit, Texas. Whenever we have a deposition in Kermit, we allow a little extra time to get there and a little extra time to explain to the uninitiated that Kermit isn’t just a green puppet but also a bustling town of about 6000 people.

Second on our list is the town of Marfa, Texas. Marfa is a desert haven for modern artists, UFO fanatics and free-spirited folks. Supposedly late at night you can see the mysterious Marfa Lights floating in the air both enchanting and haunting citizens and tourists alike.

Finally, whenever we are asked to help with a deposition in Balmorrhea, Texas I get excited. Balmorrhea is home to a state park with a massive pond-like swimming pool filled with fish. The charm of this park is also attributed to the small cabins surrounding the water. If you are here on legal business then we highly recommend you stay at this park or at one of the old-fashioned Western hotels rather than riding out of town each night to stay at a corporate motel.

No matter where you end up needing your deposition to take place, then we will be happy to accommodate your needs as best we can. Furthermore, we will be happy to go the extra mile (literally) and tell you where all the best restaurants and hotels are from Abilene, Texas to Alpine, Texas and make your deposition experience a great one.

Don't see your town or city listed above? Call us anyway. There are many other areas we serve in addition to the above list.
